Jul 11, 2025Jul 13, 2025
Join us for 1, 2 or 3 days of diving July. 11-13, 2025 in and around Lake Tahoe basin. We will be diving several locations, including a sunken F4 fighter and in the one-of-a-kind Underwater Maritime Heritage Trail in Emerald Bay. Divers wishing to obtain their PADI Advanced Open Water certification or PADI Altitude Diver will have opportunities to complete some or all of the adventure dives required for those certifications if they so choose, but you may also simply fun-dive with one of our guides. Other specialties may be available upon request. Camping is included.
Sample Itinerary Subject to change:
Friday: AM: Hurricane Bay, Lake Tahoe (Alley-Cat shipwreck) PM: Sparks Marina Lake Park. (Sunken F4 Phantom fighter)
Saturday: PM: Guided and/or Altitude and Advanced Open Water Dives Meeks Bay Campground 1pm-6pm.

Sunday PM: Advanced Course: Boat dive in Emerald Bay Underwater Maritime Heritage trail, sunken passenger launch or dive around Fannette Island (Tea House). (Very Limited capacity)
Lake Tahoe is cold water diving. It can be completed in the same wetsuit as one would dive in Monterey. Drysuits are also popular. Surface temps can be up to 75° in the summer, but don't let that fool you. Lake Tahoe has incredible thermoclines. At depth the water will be easily as cold as Monterey, or colder.
Since there is no way west out of Lake Tahoe Basin without crossing a pass, going to altitude after diving rules apply. Students are prohibited from leaving the Tahoe basin for a minimum of 6 hours after surfacing from their last dive.
Includes camping at William Kent Campground (Divers only pay a small per-night extra vehicle fee. Campsite is directly adjacent to overflow parking lot)
